Our beginning

Community is something
we build together.

Founded by Naeem Naqshbandi in 2015, OPWC brings volunteers, community representatives and institutions together through local gatherings, practical support and outreach.

At its heart is a simple idea: overseas Pakistanis benefit from a community that listens, connects and participates.

That purpose is reflected in our motto: Helping Hands, Caring Hearts.

The person behind the purpose

One vision.
A collective effort.

Naeem Naqshbandi founded OPWC in 2015 with a clear purpose: to unite overseas Pakistanis and build a practical bridge between the community and public institutions.

As chairman, he has guided its development through consular outreach, welfare work and public representation. His advocacy has addressed the everyday realities of life across borders, from identity documents and travel to property concerns in Pakistan.

Our president

Haji Abid Hussain.

Bringing people together.
Keeping service at the centre.

As OPWC president, Haji Abid works alongside founder and chairman Naeem Naqshbandi, local organisers and volunteers. His work includes hosting community gatherings, supporting welfare activity and bringing overseas Pakistanis into dialogue with the institutions that serve them.

His hospitality background also supports a wider community contribution, from catering for frontline workers during the pandemic to the Slough venue’s support for unpaid carers.
